Our goal is to make Reddit the best place on the internet to find answers, opinions, and conversations. Redditors produce the most amazing content about every niche topic – this underleveraged data coupled with modern advances in AI systems is presenting a unique opportunity to quickly build a new kind of search engine.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in web application development using JavaScript or other relevant languages
- Experience with common front-end web component frameworks (such as React), and server-side rendering frameworks (such as Next.js)
- Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals, web performance
- Have a strong product sense, and be comfortable translating data and user feedback into features
- Experience in other more general purpose programming languages (e.g. Python, Go).
- Familiar with software engineering best practices such as unit testing and code reviews, design, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Ideate, design, build, and ship experiments and features that reach millions of users and advance our product vision.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to create compelling, user-focused experiences, and communicate effectively across teams and disciplines.
- Shape team strategy by contributing meaningful insights and helping to drive alignment toward shared objectives.
- Engage actively in product reviews and team discussions, offering technical perspective while helping to scope, estimate, and prioritize competing needs.
- Foster a strong engineering culture by mentoring, collaborating with peers, and helping set a high standard for quality and UX
