Rippling is looking for a Staff Full Stack Engineer to join the Time Products team to build and innovate on products that manage workforce on a global scale, including Scheduling, Time & Attendance and Leave Management on mobile and Kiosk apps, supporting the highest traffic surfaces at Rippling and launching new products.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience using React, React Native, Python/Django or similar systems
  • Strong computer science fundamentals with experience designing and optimizing complex systems that operate at scale.
  • You’re comfortable solving technical challenges at both the micro and macro levels.
  • You’re willing to dive in and learn new technologies, such as React Native.
  • You’re focused on solving problems using the right tools and are willing to stretch beyond your comfort zone to do so.
  • You’ve led technical design discussions and collaborated cross-functionally to build robust, scalable systems.

Responsibilities

  • Write clean, scalable code while driving the architecture and technical design of our most critical products.
  • You’ll play a key role in defining the technical roadmap and ensuring the quality of the solutions we ship.
  • Set the standards for high-quality software.
  • Help the team move quickly without sacrificing reliability or security, ensuring that Rippling’s products remain fast, efficient, and reliable at scale.
  • Own and guide the technical design of new features, ensuring they’re both innovative and aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
  • Collaborate with engineers across teams to ensure we’re solving the right problems.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers, helping them grow technically and professionally.
