Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Staff Infrastructure Architect to support the team in Aurora, CO. As a part of the Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) team, the candidate will be responsible for architecture, design, and deployment activities for the program’s hardware footprint.

Requirements

  • Ability to drive the design of infrastructure for new products and capabilities
  • Understanding of multiple Vendors and ability to recommend COTS and HW solutions
  • Ability to perform trades on infrastructure components and system build up
  • Ability to create and support Bill of Materials (BOMs)
  • Able to get quotes and work with vendors and support the build team in procurement of IT equipment
  • Ability to communicate across teams and mentor junior engineers

Responsibilities

  • providing and maintaining HW engineering documentation (i.e., Rack Els, Floor Plans, etc…)
  • Provisioning Specification (P-Spec) management
  • overall build and delivery roadmap
  • working with network engineers for firewall, DNS and IP management, submittal, and tracking
  • participate with a multi-disciple team to mitigate and solve and program concerns
  • supporting program and software management teams to manage software lifecycle issues and deployments with deliveries
  • Provide support to systems engineering designs including managing requirements for infrastructure

Other

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 12 years of relevant experience; 10 years of relevant experience with a Master's; 8 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required at time of application and willingness to submit to a polygraph
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to complete tasks with little direction and oversight.
  • They will be an excellent communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers.
