Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years in design or UX-focused roles, with substantial experience leading interaction design strategies for complex products.
- Demonstrated ability to deeply engage with technical teams, driving clear communication and collaboration across front-end, back-end, and hardware engineering disciplines.
- Proven experience conducting impactful workshops and driving cross-functional alignment on UX strategies and designs.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present to senior management.
- A deep passion for crafting user-centric solutions that significantly enhance product usability and satisfaction.
- Portfolio required for application.
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Responsibilities
- Drive the design vision to unify physical and digital user experiences, creating seamless, consumer-like interactions across da Vinci Multiport Systems.
- Ensure interfaces and interactions are simple to use, quick to respond, and clearly structured to enhance user productivity and satisfaction.
- Conduct user research, including interviews, observations, and usability testing, to deeply understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of target users.
- Create comprehensive wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that effectively communicate design solutions.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to drill deep into technical considerations, ensuring content flows efficiently and instantly.
- Incorporate principles of clarity, consistency, and error prevention to ensure robust user experiences.
- Remain at the forefront of design trends, best practices, tools, and technologies to continuously elevate interaction design standards.

- High emotional intelligence (EQ) and analytical intelligence (IQ), requiring both meticulous pixel-level attention and strategic business design thinking.
- Ability to clearly articulate the user experience vision through detailed roadmaps and compelling conceptual NorthStar's, rallying cross-functional teams around shared goals and executing the design vision effectively.
- Facilitate dynamic and effective workshops involving product managers, clinical development engineers, software developers, and UX team members.
- Act as a connector, advocate, and support for integrated, cohesive user experiences, bridging multiple teams and workflows.
