Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff IPT Software Design Lead to work at the Segment/IPT level of an extremely complex System comprised of multiple Segments, all of which incorporate mature and emerging technologies. This engineer will support the software design team lead and partner with other engineering functions to progress and mature the segment, and support critical engineering reviews and milestones.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug and maintenance is required.
- Demonstrated experience with completing architectural studies, software design synthesis, technical baseline definition, requirements & interface management
- Strong understanding of Systems Engineering fundamentals, principles, and processes, specifically system architecture and design synthesis
- Strong understanding of software design principles, computer architecture, and relevant technologies
- Proficiency in working with real-time embedded software
- Demonstrated experience using model based engineering tools, such as UML or SysML
- Experience creating system and interface definitions through the creation of Block Definition Diagrams (BDDs) and Internal Block Definition Diagrams (IBDs)

- Demonstrated experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug and maintenance is required.
- Demonstrated experience with completing architectural studies, software design synthesis, technical baseline definition, requirements & interface management
- Strong understanding of Systems Engineering fundamentals, principles, and processes, specifically system architecture and design synthesis
- Strong understanding of software design principles, computer architecture, and relevant technologies
