Intuit is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to build AI-native solutions that simplify how mid-sized businesses operate and grow, removing the need for multiple disconnected applications and increasing productivity, profitability, and efficiency through automated workflows and data-driven decision making.
Requirements
- Strong coding skills in Python and experience with modern ML/AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Proficiency with data processing and query tools (e.g., SQL, Spark, Pandas) and building scalable pipelines.
- Experience designing and deploying ML microservices, REST APIs, or related service architectures.
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, system performance) and experience deploying large-scale, production-grade systems.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and leveraging GPU acceleration for ML workloads.
Responsibilities
- Build and scale machine learning and GenAI models using modern frameworks and industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain ML-powered services, APIs, and pipelines that enable reliable deployment of models at scale.
- Identify, integrate, and prepare diverse data sources; create features; and ensure datasets are optimized for training and inference.
- Design and run A/B tests, apply statistical methods, and translate results into actionable insights.
- Partner with AI scientists, product managers, and engineers to deliver end-to-end AI solutions aligned with customer needs.
- Explore new technology shifts in AI/GenAI and assess their potential to enhance customer experiences.
Other
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of industry experience in applied machine learning or AI engineering.
- Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, lead discussions, and contribute to cross-functional decision making.
- The expected base pay range for this position is: Bay Area California: $197,000 - $266,500.
