Tapestry, X's moonshot for the electric grid, is looking to solve complex challenges in energy using AI, and is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to develop and deploy advanced machine learning models
Requirements
- Deep expertise in one or more of the following areas: information retrieval, and large language models and reinforcement learning
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Experience with building and deploying ML systems at scale, and a proven ability to lead applied ML research
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools
- A strong portfolio of projects demonstrating expertise in multiple ML domains
Responsibilities
- Design, train, and deploy machine learning models in production environments
- Lead the development of ML systems for information retrieval, natural language processing, time series forecasting and reinforcement learning
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to identify and address key business problems
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and research to inform model development and strategy
- Mentor junior engineers and scientists and contribute to the team’s technical growth
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning
Other
- Master’s Degree/Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of professional experience in machine learning model development and engineering
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- PhD in Machine Learning or a related field
- Proven ability to work on cross-functional projects and deliver results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
