Anduril Industries is a defense technology company aiming to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology, specifically by bringing 21st-century innovation to the defense industry to modernize how military systems are designed, built, and sold. The Air Dominance & Strike team is focused on developing aerial and multi-domain robotic systems and the AI-powered software platform (Lattice for Mission Autonomy) that enables these systems to collaborate.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience including significant work in at least two of the following: C++, Golang, Java, Rust, Python
  • Experience architecting geographically-distributed cloud-deployed services serving 100s of queries per second
  • Experience setting up CI/CD, metrics + logging infrastructure for a live service, and alerting
  • Experience implementing or interacting with C++ application binary interfaces
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS
  • Experience with Nix

Responsibilities

  • develops aerial and multi-domain robotic systems
  • develops Lattice for Mission Autonomy, Anduril’s premier software platform that enables masses of Fury, Barracuda, and other first and third party robots to collaborate across various missions
  • creating a powerful autonomy software stack that includes computer vision, motion planning, SLAM, controls, estimation, and secure communications
  • architecting geographically-distributed cloud-deployed services serving 100s of queries per second
  • setting up CI/CD, metrics + logging infrastructure for a live service, and alerting
  • maintaining developer platforms (API documentation, simulation sandboxes)
  • implementing or interacting with C++ application binary interfaces

Other

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
  • Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in areas/fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
  • Experience as a tech lead and mentor for teams of at least 5 other engineers
  • Interest in simulations and/or gaming, especially in the military context
