Axon Records is a cloud-based records management system that modernizes how law enforcement agencies capture, manage, and access data. It streamlines report writing and approval workflows with structured data entry, real-time collaboration, and intelligent automation. The product's north star is to make an impact on the world by reducing the amount of time officers spend at their desks writing reports and increase the amount of time officers spend out in their communities helping the public.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in full stack software engineering
  • Experience building complex and impactful software in a team environment
  • Experience designing and delivering high-availability, scalable cloud-based systems
  • You write beautiful, simple, maintainable code for backend microservices
  • Deep skill in driving technical solutions across multiple teams
  • Backend service experience in managed languages such as Go, Java, Scala
  • Frontend experience in Javascript + Typescript, React
  • Strong experience with database, especially SQL

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering architecture design reviews
  • Set a high technical bar for the team through code and architecture design reviews
  • Mentoring engineers
  • Working across teams with Product, Design, and Engineering to solve some of our biggest technical challenges within our stack for our customers
  • Improve our Engineering process, including long-term thinking, sprint planning and stand-ups
  • Building services that adhere to our high bar on availability and latency in this mission-critical space
  • Working with the latest open source technologies

  • This role is based out of our Seattle Office and follows a hybrid schedule.
  • We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation.

  • The starting base pay for this role is between USD 168,750 in the lowest geographic market and USD 270,000 in the highest geographic market.
