Samsara is looking to hire a Staff Product Designer to architect product experiences across the organization, shaping Samsara's long-term direction and unlocking significant business value by improving the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of physical operations for customers in industries like transportation and logistics, construction, and food and beverage.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product design experience designing UX/UI for web & mobile applications.
- Deep expertise in interaction and visual design at the Staff level.
- A strong portfolio and / or case studies showcasing design craft and ability to solve user-problems with quantified impact.
- Figma fluency and excellence in prototyping.
- Leader in using AI tools (e.g. Cursor, Figma Make) to accelerate workflows, boost creativity, and prototype efficiently.
- Track record of strategic influence and shipping impact.
- Ability to engage effectively with customers for research and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead design strategy and execution of large, complex, ambiguous projects that have significant impact on our customers and business.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering on strategy, planning, and execution.
- Work directly with customers to understand their needs, validate designs, and inform the strategy.
- Up-level the design team in skills, tools, and practice, while also instilling good design sense throughout the greater Samsara culture.
- Work directly with executive stakeholders on large initiatives and drive decision making.
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as the company scales globally across new offices.
