Lyft is looking to solve the business problem of transforming occasional riders into lifelong advocates by pioneering membership and loyalty programs. The Staff Product Designer will shape how Lyft builds enduring value and trust across its diverse rider ecosystem.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience working in Product Design, UX, UI, or an HCI related field with experience working on mobile and web design
- Experience leading complex product initiatives that drove measurable business impact
- Deep expertise in user-centered design methods and product development processes
- Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, outstanding craft, and business impact
- Outstanding visual design, interaction design, and product thinking capabilities
- Highly proficient with design tools (Figma, Sketch, etc.)
- Highly proficient with interactive prototyping tools (Framer, Principle, Origami, Cursor etc.)
Responsibilities
- Shape strategic vision for rider loyalty and membership, aligning cross-functional teams and senior leadership around cohesive, high-impact solutions
- Navigate extreme ambiguity to define and deliver 01 initiatives that unlock new business value and market opportunities
- Elevate organizational design quality by setting standards, providing expert critique across all levels, and ensuring accessibility and safety compliance
- Amplify impact through others by mentoring designers, facilitating stakeholder alignment, and resolving conflicts between competing interests
- Influence without authority using compelling narratives and systems thinking to guide product direction and business outcomes
- Partner with C-suite and VPs to ensure design work ladders up to company-wide strategic goals and anticipates future market needs
