Twilio needs a Staff Product Manager to develop and execute the strategy for Twilio's API Gateway and Developer Experience products, shaping the platform that supports Twilio's global communications services and improving the developer experience to increase functionality and unlock new uses.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience envisioning and building resilient, high-throughput services and products.
- Strong technical background.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and are data driven.
- Coding experience through academic, professional, or personal projects to effectively communicate with technical stakeholders.
- Experience with REST API industry standards, SDK best practices is a big plus
- Experience in developing large-scale, enterprise-grade APIs for PaaS and SaaS platforms, including API gateways, SDK development, and infrastructure.
- Be able to contribute to the management of products from both a technical and business perspective.
Responsibilities
- Create and contribute to the roadmap for the product area.
- Communicate both the business and technical rationale behind product decisions.
- Define and report product metrics - being data driven is key.
- Mock up concepts, write functional specs, cut tickets, write copy and do whatever it takes to express ideas to internal engineers, designers and other product managers.
- Work with engineering team and provide consistent product support to ship products.
- Engage with developer community to understand how to improve products to increase functionality and unlock new uses.
- Work with engineering, architecture, design, product marketing, GTM sales and customer support to help launch new products and support existing ones.

- You are hands on, passionate, and collaborative.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- A Master in Engineering or Technology degree is preferred
- This role will be remote,but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.
- For this role, you may be required to travel occasionally to participate in project or team in-person meetings.
