Norm Ai is looking to solve the problem of transforming workflows and applying compliance checks at the source of business activities for legal standards-based reasoning and workflow automation using AI.
Requirements
- 4+ years experience writing application-layer Python for production use
- 2+ years experience writing React + TypeScript, or similar for production use
- Experience working with a Postgres database or similar
- Experience writing APIs using a framework such as FastAPI or similar for production use
- Interest or experience in working with a complex AI-driven product, (i.e. streamed outputs, dynamic agentic site navigation, etc)
- Interest or experience in working with PDFs, excel, or file-driven products
- Experience dealing with database scaling problems
Responsibilities
- Improve the product–both our client facing enterprise product and in support of our internal legal engineering tools team.
- Work on scaling problems–ensure our customers get top-notch availability and reliability on a particularly bursty system.
- Remain on pace with emerging AI use cases-constantly push the boundaries of what is possible
- Bring product intuition–iterate and obsess over the customer's experience
- Work across the stack to bring new product ideas to life, partnering closely with design, client engagement, other engineering teams, and users themselves.
- Build complex workflows for legal professionals.
- Configure our AI to handle a variety of use cases.
Other
- Bachelors or Masters in computer science or an equivalent field, or equivalent practical experience
- Interest or experience in working with a complex AI-driven product
- Interest or experience in working with PDFs, excel, or file-driven products
- Excited to work on product and work/iterate with customers
- We embrace a flexible hybrid model, typically in-office 3–4 days per week.
