Our client is a health tech company looking to scale patient care without needing more clinicians by building AI agents. They aim to create modern, powerful, and intuitive products for healthcare providers and chronic disease management, and are seeking a Staff/Senior Software Engineer to build and scale AI/LLM Agent software systems.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional post-college backend engineering experience, with a track record of building and shipping cloud software applications.
- Strong backend engineering & applied AI background
- Built cloud software applications (backend).
- Built AI/ML features in production.
- Proven experience in bringing AI/ML features from conception to production.
- Strong skills in LLM Agent Design, Context Engineering, Embedding Systems, and Semantic/Keyword Search.
- Proficiency in backend languages like Go or Python.
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred), particularly with data pipelines and APIs.
Responsibilities
- Building and scaling secure, resilient AI/LLM Agent software systems on cloud platforms.
- Designing and building data pipelines and APIs for sensitive data, including patient, genomics, and wearables data.
- Owning projects that drive measurable outcomes in patient care.
- Collaborating with co-founders, product, and design teams to deliver state-of-the-art AI systems for healthcare.

- A desire to work remotely, but with a willingness to participate in in-person co-working days and happy hours in the San Francisco Bay Area.
