Zscaler is looking to enhance the security and automation of its cloud infrastructure, particularly for U.S. federal, regulated, and sovereign cloud environments, by improving CI/CD pipelines, automating change management, and ensuring compliance with federal mandates.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in commercial services development for public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments, including managing, scaling, and troubleshooting containerized workloads
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) or declarative models, and programming experience in languages such as Go or Python
- Strong background in architecting and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
- Expertise with High/Moderate FedRAMP authorization, continuous monitoring, vulnerability scanning, patch management, and compliance reporting
- Proficiency in managing relational and non-relational databases within microservices architectures
- Hands-on experience with multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and building highly secure, scalable infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage shared infrastructure automation for U.S. federal, regulated, and sovereign cloud environments
- Enhance security for our CI/CD pipelines and automate change management processes
- Define and uphold DevOps standards, best practices, and operational guidelines across the engineering organization
- Automate the deployment of new Zscaler clouds and advance delivery mechanisms for operational artifacts
- Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain a highly available engineering platform and ensure compliance with federal mandates

- This is a hybrid role, reporting into the San Jose, CA or Bellevue, WA office 3 days a week.
