Checkr is looking to scale the development and scalability of the Truework platform, which provides crucial employment and income information for mortgage loans, apartment rentals, and background checks, aiming to disrupt an industry dominated by legacy incumbents.
Requirements
- Deep experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Deep experience with systems design, deployment models, and cloud platforms (ie. AWS, containerized/micro-services architecture)
- Deep experience with RESTful APIs, Python, Django, and JavaScript
- 8+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of experience in leading engineering projects/programs
Responsibilities
- Be an efficient and effective senior individual contributor who can solve problems and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal oversight and a high level of ownership

- Partner with engineering, product, design, and other stakeholders in designing and architecting new features
- Deliver performant, reliable, scalable, and secure code capable of supporting Truework’s significant scale
- Monitor, investigate, triage, and resolve production issues as they arise for services across Trueworks technologies
- Collaborate, drive, and execute architectural discussions with cross-functional teams
- Influence Truework's technical roadmap and strategy
