Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to support the Systems Engineering & Integration Team (SE&IT) program. The candidate will assess the needs of the SE&I user base, then determine improvements to the current toolset and propose new solutions for needs not yet addressed to enable the System Engineering & Integration (SE&I) organization to achieve digital transformation and more efficiently accomplish engineering activities in support of the Missile Defense Agency.
Requirements
- Applicants must possess a strong grasp of object oriented programming concepts and should have experience using an Object Oriented language (C++, Java, Python, etc.).
- Applicants must have a willingness and proclivity to learn new programming languages.
- Previous experience with DXL, VBA, VTL, Jira, Confluence, and Java products.
- Previous experience utilizing/administering DOORS, Cameo and/or System Architect.
- familiarize themselves with the details of the current automation tools such that users will be able to rely on them for help and they are able to debug code issues.
- assist the team in the configuration and administration of the DOORS and MSOSA/Cameo environments as needed, creating accounts and groups, workspaces and completing other administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Update and maintain software tools in support of the broader engineering efforts on the team.
- Administering user accounts and groups for the suite of engineering tools.
- Maintaining database archives and deliveries of database sets to customers and other stakeholders.
- Supporting the team’s daily use of DOORS, MSOSA/CAMEO, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Duties will include leading small teams of engineers in the development of products.
