Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with proven full-stack expertise (e.g., Java [J2EE, Spring Boot], front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue).
- Hands-on experience designing and building distributed, scalable, and high-performance systems using microservices or SOA architectures.
- Deep expertise in API design (REST, GraphQL, gRPC) and integrations with 3rd-party systems.
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including query optimization and performance tuning.
- Experience with cloud platforms, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design, with a track record of solving complex engineering challenges.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for the Claims Partnerships Platform, ensuring it scales for future business needs.
- Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of full-stack services, scalable APIs, SDKs, and developer tools that enable external partners to integrate efficiently with GEICO platforms.
- Influence cross-functional teams on platform design, best practices, and technical standards.
- Ensure the platform meets the highest standards of security, privacy, and compliance without compromising developer experience.
- Identify and solve complex system-level problems, optimizing for scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Mentor and guide engineers across teams, fostering technical excellence and a culture of collaboration.
- Drive strategic initiatives, including evaluating new technologies, designing innovative solutions, and addressing technical debt.
