Toast is building out a New Ventures business unit with the goal of researching, developing, and scaling a new generation of products and business lines that can have a substantial impact on Toast’s long-term growth.
Requirements
- Proven track record of technical leadership and collaboration on complex projects
- Significant professional experience (typically 8+ years) in Java, Kotlin, or other object-oriented languages
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and data structures.
- Proficiency in modern software development tools and practices, including version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
- Proficient with modern web standards and technologies (e.g. REST, GraphQL)
- Experience in Ads Tech (working with Google Ads APIs, Meta APIs and/or TikTok APIs) is string plus
- Experience building products from scratch is a huge plus!
Responsibilities
- Join a team of Design, Product, QA, and other engineering members in developing robust and scalable full-stack software applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions using Java/Kotlin, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Leverage cutting edge AI tools to enhance your development workflow, improve velocity, and help pioneer new approaches to building - contributing to a culture of innovation and productivity across the team
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical meetings to ensure the quality and reliability of the software.
