Requirements
- Proficiency in Python or Typescript and comfort with asynchronous programming
- Expertise in distributed systems, concurrency, or large-scale real-time platforms
- Ability to define long-term architecture and lead complex cross-functional projects
- Strong instincts around system correctness, reliability, and debuggability
- Experience with model driven applications or complex orchestration logic
- Experience with evaluation or experimentation systems
- Experience designing runtimes, execution engines, or agent frameworks
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and evolution of the core execution engine behind Decagon agents
- Lead design for systems that coordinate complex reasoning and action flows at scale
- Drive reliability, testing, and observability standards across the orchestration stack
- Create frameworks that enable safe, fast iteration on agent behavior
- Mentor senior engineers and help grow the technical culture of Agent Orchestration
- Lead large, multi quarter initiatives that shape how our orchestration engine works, how it scales, and how engineers across the company build on top of it
- Work closely with Research, Infra, Product Engineering, and Agent SWE to define the standards and frameworks that keep Decagon agents reliable and intelligent
