Bolt is looking to solve the problem of democratizing commerce by building a universal shopper network and transforming the way people shop and transact online through their Super App.
Requirements
- 8+ years backend experience in Go/Java/Kotlin/Rust (or similar).
- 2+ years in Staff+ roles at a fintech or crypto startup.
- Deep knowledge of payments and wallet infrastructure (card networks, ISO 8583, PCI, tokenization).
- Experience designing ledger systems with consistency, reliability, reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience building crypto or stablecoin rails, blockchain integration is a plus.
- Experience enabling "agentic" shopping—building APIs for assisted/personalized purchase journeys.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, microservices.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services enabling: Universal wallet infrastructure: multi-currency wallets, KYC/AML compliance, secure ledgering, minting/burning stablecoins.
- Crypto on‑ramps/off‑ramps, P2P transfers, blockchain-routed settlement.
- Payment acquisition and routing (cards, crypto rails), reconciliation and settlement.
- Build distributed systems with 99.999% uptime and low latency.
- Collaborate with banks, PSPs, stablecoin issuers, blockchain node providers.
- Lead architectural decisions spanning wallet, commerce, crypto, and agentic‑shopping services.
- Integrate fraud, compliance, risk scoring (for both fiat and crypto).

- This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the option to convert to full-time after 3–6 months.
