Coinbase is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to solve the company's hardest problems, specifically in the Institutional, Settlements and Transfers team, to ensure the seamless and secure movement of funds and build the next generation of financial systems.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Proven experience in building fault-tolerant, highly reliable systems at scale.
- Demonstrated experience in architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact.
- Experience applying these skills to Ledgering, Trading, or Payment systems at scale.
- Experience with Golang and Ruby.
- Familiarity with on-chain activity, such as interacting with Ethereum addresses and dApps.
- Experience with financial systems, banking, or fintech.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop services and frameworks that power Coinbase Prime's settlement and transfer processes.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance, working closely with management and stakeholders to define and execute on the strategic roadmap.
- Lead individual projects, managing priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise.
- Mentor and train other engineers on design techniques and coding standards, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Write high-quality, well-tested code for fault-tolerant and highly reliable systems at scale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to transform technical vision into a tangible roadmap.
- Process transactions across fiat, crypto, and internal ledgers, and manage assets for clients.
