The iCloud Services team is looking to hire an experienced Software Engineer to contribute to the development of the next generation of cloud services infrastructure, focusing on crucial components of the iCloud platform and introducing innovative fundamental capabilities to power new and existing applications while ensuring availability, high performance, efficiency, security, and data privacy.
Requirements
- strong programming skills in Objective-C and/or Swift
- Experience building on Apple Platforms (macOS, iOS, watchOS, tvOS, etc.)
- Experience in building system-level frameworks and APIs
- Experience in Swift concurrency
- Experience with Event-based programming or inter-process communication is a plus
- low-level (C/Objective C, libdispatch, POSIX APIs) and system-level skills (synchronization protocols, framework design, IPCs, multi-process performance work, system-wide resource sharing.)
Responsibilities
- Work with adopters to craft clear APIs
- Work with the network and file system stacks to build performant daemons
- Work with our server counterparts to design scalable features and protocols
- Implement core components of the cryptographic protection of cloud data

- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Excellent communication
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent related experience
- Ability to build relationships with diverse groups of people
- Proven track record of working on rapid development cycles and shipping software on tight schedules
