Requirements
- Expert-level experience in Rust (preferred) or other compiled languages for systems programming.
- Proven record architecting and scaling hypervisor-based infrastructure.
- Mastery of Linux internals, kernel debugging, and performance engineering.
- Strong background in networking automation (BGP, EVPN, OVS).
- Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and infrastructure automation (Puppet/Ansible).
- Track record of setting technical strategy and mentoring senior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Collaboration: Influence and align cross-functional teams (Networking, Storage, SRE, Product) on platform evolution.
- Mentorship: Coach engineers across all levels, raising the technical bar in systems programming and distributed systems.
- Technical Leadership: Architect and evolve hypervisor integrations (libvirt, QEMU, KVM) across thousands of hosts.
- Technical Leadership: Design scalable, automated networking systems built on BGP, EVPN, and OVS.
- Technical Leadership: Lead large-scale automation and provisioning frameworks with GitLab CI/CD and Puppet/Ansible.
- Technical Leadership: Champion observability and reliability practices with Grafana, Sentry, and SumoLogic.
- Innovation & Scale: Drive advanced performance tuning across CPU, memory, I/O, networking, and storage layers.
