Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information. Products need to handle information at massive scale and extend beyond web search. The role involves exploring generative AI and its application to various domains and use cases, investing in Gemini driven UI, decoupling agents from surfaces, and influencing, pitching, designing, and landing full-stack AI-first applications in greenfield projects.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience with full-stack software development with front-end (TypeScript) and server technologies (Kotlin and Python) and agent frameworks (DK, MCP, A2A).
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- 5 years of experience leading ML design and optimizing ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
- 2 years of experience with state of the art GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision).
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
- Influence, pitch, design and land full-stack AI-first applications in greenfield projects.
- Explore generative AI and explore its application to many different domains and use cases.
- Invest in Gemini driven UI and decoupling agents from surfaces.
- Participate in and lead architecture and engineering designs with peers and stakeholders, and exercise technical judgment (e.g., make "build vs buy" decisions given available technologies and problem spaces).
- Review code, design documents, and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Balance the need to deliver bespoke, short-term end-to-end prototypes with the long-term strategy for generalizing them into AI-first experiences.
