The Dashboards team at Datadog needs a Staff Software Engineer to facilitate new product offerings, lead cross-organizational initiatives and raise the bar for operational excellence within the organization.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Several years of experience leading cross-team initiatives in a platform or infrastructure-focused environment
- Experience with transitioning from a monolithic architecture to a microservices-oriented architecture
- Experience with designing and implementing API Schema Versioning for Dashboard APIs
- Experience with developing a better onboarding experience for customers
Responsibilities
- Drive high-priority, high-visibility product capabilities that exceed customers’ expectations
- Identify, advocate and deliver new product platform opportunities to better serve customers including development of the product roadmap
- Architect, implement and oversee systems from inception through deployment
- Lead the development, maintenance and growth of key services, APIs and user experiences that power Dashboards
- Raise the bar for operational excellence within teams
Other
- BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience
