Datadog's Dashboards team needs to develop new product offerings and enhance existing services to provide a central pane of glass for customers, including AI-powered capabilities and enabling customers to bring their own data to the platform.
Requirements
- You have several years of experience leading cross-team initiatives in a platform or infrastructure-focused environment
- You have led the design and delivery of industry-leading systems
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of high-priority, high-visibility product capabilities that exceed our customers' expectations such as NLQ Dashboard Generation and Search
- Identify new product opportunities - advocate for and deliver on a product roadmap that best serves all Datadog users
- Lead the development and growth of key services, APIs and user experiences that power Dashboards
- Provide technical oversight and leadership across organizational boundaries
- Mentor and grow engineers on the team and beyond
- development of AI-powered capabilities (NLQ dashboard generation and search)
- building a framework for API schema versioning and increasing developer velocity by breaking up our monolithic architecture

- The Dashboards team at Datadog is at the heart of our observability platform, acting as a central pane of glass that is used by all customers of Datadog.
- We build the services and APIs that power Dashboards, as well as shared capabilities that power other products within Datadog.
- We are looking for a product-oriented Staff Engineer to work closely with product management to envision, facilitate and deliver new product offerings by identifying opportunities, researching technologies and bootstrapping initiatives.
