Addepar is looking to build the modern data platform by establishing integrations across all of its infrastructure and systems in multiple geographic regions and building out a complementary messaging layer to facilitate complex workflows.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in data platform development and management, with a strong foundation in data engineering, cloud infrastructure and platform toolings for internal teams
- Comfortable working in a cloud context, with automated infrastructure and service-oriented architecture
- Our engineering stack has PySpark on Databricks for data engineering & distributed processing tasks, PostgresSQL for serving data & scaling access data, terraform for managing infrastructure, and a blend of Python or Java for serverless AWS lambda-based utilities or custom micro-services respectively to fill gaps in-between
Responsibilities
- Take on a large amount of scope and act independently by working in partnership with engineering, product, analyst, and operations platform users to identify requirements and priorities, and map out solutions for challenging technology and workflow problems
- Make Addepar’s Data Lakehouse the central financial data hub at Addepar by establishing integrations across all of our infrastructure and systems in multiple geographic regions
- Build out and scale a green-field complementary messaging layer that works side-by-side with the lakehouse and facilitates more complex workflows on the platform
- Act as a technical lead in Singapore partnering with several high-performing teams of engineers who can design, develop, and deploy data lakehouse solutions, with you empowering anyone who wants to build on our platforms
