Requirements
- 8 years of coding experience in one or more of the following languages: Java or Python.
- Experience designing and developing distributed databases or storage systems.
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems and technical infrastructure.
- Experience with database internals, database language theories, database design, SQL and database programming.
- Proficiency in SQL for complex data querying, manipulation, and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Solve hard distributed query execution problems, and build an easy-to-use, safe, reliable, and fast platform to execute queries on thousands of machines.
- Maintain a critical eye for correctness, performance, and privacy/security/data governance.
- Strive to make SQL data processing easy to democratize data driven decisions at Google.
