Postscript is looking to migrate some of its Python codebase into Go microservices to elevate its platform to the next level, requiring a Staff Software Engineer to design and implement these microservices.
Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years professional software development experience, at least 5+ years of which is in Go
- Experience leading projects and delivering end to end on a backend solution successfully
- AWS experience a plus
- Experience with NoSQL databases a plus
- Experience with Python, React (Typescript) a plus
- Experience working in low latency, high throughput applications
Responsibilities
- design and implement microservices in Go
- utilizing SQL and NoSQL datastores within an AWS environment
- mentor more junior engineers on the design patterns and architecture of the new platform
- contribute code in the product lane where necessary
- designing, developing, and supporting Postscript's message orchestration platform
- improving on the current platform and adding new features that empower merchants to run their entire SMS business through Postscript
- building scalable and extensible products
