Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including time in a senior or staff-level role
- Proven ability to design and scale complex, distributed systems
- Fullstack development experience across backend (e.g., Python, Go, Node.js) and frontend technologies (e.g., React, TypeScript)
- Strong architectural thinking and long-term system design skills
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and setting technical direction
- Familiarity with climate data, geospatial systems, or AI/ML integration (bonus)
- Experience in an early stage start up (bonus)
Responsibilities
- Build tools that make a difference for people and the planet
- Build systems that turn climate data and models into outputs that help people and organizations act with confidence
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of engineers, climate scientists, researchers, and product leaders
- Guide product direction, mentor other engineers, and contribute to cross-functional efforts that span across the organization
- Work across the stack, from backend services to frontend interfaces
- Ensure our platforms are scalable, resilient, and easy to build on
