Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in mobile software development
- Proven track record of technical leadership and coaching development teams
- Strong problem solving and debugging skills on mobile software products
- Expert level skills in either iOS or Android development and some level of comfort with the other
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
- Experience with both native Android and native iOS development approaches
- Track record of influencing adjacent engineering teams of best practices or mobile client needs
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high quality software supporting the core product
- Define and drive Quizlet’s key technical strategies, influencing cross platform teams and cross functional partners
- Actively provide technical mentorship and guidance to other team members
- Partner effectively with cross-functional partners and other engineering teams, influencing their decisions and designs as appropriate
- Drive incident investigations, post mortems, and retrospectives
- Effectively advocate for long-term improvements to systems and processes
- Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure operational excellence and resiliency
