Actively is building superintelligence for GTM teams by training custom reasoning agents to identify and execute optimal actions to maximize revenue.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building distributed systems, orchestration frameworks, or large-scale backend platforms.
- Deep experience with AI agents, LLM-powered workflows, or orchestration frameworks (LangChain, Semantic Kernel, custom-built agent stacks, etc.).
- Skilled in architecting systems that balance latency, reliability, and cost under production workloads.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals: API design, concurrency, state management, observability.
- Experience building reasoning, planning, or multi-agent systems in production.
- Familiarity with distributed task orchestration (Airflow, Ray, Temporal, Dagster).
- Track record of contributing to open-source AI/agents frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Build the orchestration layer for agents — designing and scaling frameworks that reliably connect data → intelligence → action across GTM workflows.
- Design abstractions for agent reasoning and coordination, enabling composable workflows that can adapt and scale across thousands of use cases.
- Engineer high-leverage systems that make agents more reliable, debuggable, and efficient — from distributed execution engines to self-healing workflows.
- Partner with Intelligence and forward-deployed engineering teams to integrate state-of-the-art reasoning models into production workflows.
- Own technical direction: set the standard for design, architecture, and engineering excellence on the Agents Framework team.
- Mentor and level up engineers across the org by modeling strong engineering practices and leading through influence.
Other
- Pragmatic builder: can hack a proof-of-concept but equally motivated to engineer robust, reusable frameworks.
- Comfortable in ambiguous, fast-moving environments; thrive on setting vision and executing independently.
- Prior experience at high-growth startups or in GTM-facing AI products.
- Full-time position based in New York.
