Riot Games is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to craft systems and features at both the gameplay and engine levels, focusing on networking and simulation technology to deliver smooth and responsive gameplay over the public internet.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working with gameplay physics and simulation systems
  • Fluency in C++
  • Experience shipping and regularly updating a live service game for a large audience
  • Knowledge of modern C++ development practices
  • Experience developing games using Unreal Engine
  • Working knowledge of one or more real-time physics engines

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a team focused on building technical solutions that will allow us to deliver smooth and responsive gameplay over the public internet
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on gameplay physics
  • Drive and contribute to technical designs related to physics simulation and networking systems
  • Work collaboratively with design and engineering peers and leaders to create great gameplay experiences
