ServiceNow's Platform Infrastructure Automation team is looking to build software that brings ServiceNow instances to life and manages their journey on their Clouds. They write software that works across tens of data centers and tens of thousands of servers around the world, where reliability and performance are utmost important. They need to evolve their platform to use newer methodologies and solve tough technical challenges in a high energy, startup-like environment.
Requirements
- Good foundation in distributed systems with proven experience designing and architecting systems
- Experience building products and framework
- Excellent experience in object-oriented design and backend programming (Java, JavaScript)
- Deep understanding of database technologies
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline
- 6+ years of software development experience with Java or similar OOP
Responsibilities
- Take a higher order problem and define it clearly and design a system to solve it.
- Build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
- Implement software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs.
- Identify opportunities to simplify existing systems and evolve them to become better.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite.
- Help us build scalable and reliable cloud computing solutions to support the rapid growth of our SaaS products.
- Design, implement, test, and deploy scalable Cloud Computing solutions as part of the Cloud development team
