Kraken is looking to onboard the next 100 million people to the benefits of crypto by building and maintaining consumer-facing mobile applications that offer the simplest way for customers to interact with Kraken.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and expertise with ReactJS & React Native frameworks
- Deep understanding of iOS and Android SDKs, as well as experience with native development (Objective-C/Swift/Java/Kotlin)
- Familiarity with modern build pipelines and tooling and testing frameworks
- Significant experience of developing micro interactions and animations in React Native
- Experience with API design, security, and performance optimization
- Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and principles
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web & mobile applications using React Native
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Backend Engineering, to deliver high-impact features and improvements
- Drive the technical vision and direction of the company's Consumer applications by participating in architectural decisions and technology evaluations
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical challenges across multiple domains and technology stacks
- Contribute to the development of best practices and engineering standards to ensure the highest quality of code
- Mentor and guide junior and senior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our mobile applications remain current and competitive
Other
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web and mobile applications
- Hands-on experience in consumer payments & fintech mobile applications
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- 10+ years of full-time engineering experience within a large technology organization or fast growing startup
