Muon needs to develop and lead the simulation vision and infrastructure for a flexible simulation ecosystem used across various engineering, development, operations, and testing phases for LEO satellite constellations.
Requirements
- A deep understanding of numerical methods
- A deep understanding of modeling the low-earth-orbit environment and spacecraft systems
- Experience managing Julia for an organization
- Experience with cloud workflows
Responsibilities
- Lead the simulation vision at Muon
- Develop key simulation infrastructure features
- Oversee documentation and tutorials to make sure new users can pick up our sim tools easily
- Coordinate with the various program leads to make the features they need available when they need them
- Oversee the integration of the simulation in other systems: software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, operations-in-the-loop, scheduling, maneuver planning, ground system planning, monitoring and mission analysis
- Improve simulation ergonomics (it should keep getting easier over time, not harder)
