Requirements
- Experience in systems architecture and development with a focus on source control systems.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) for hosting source control solutions.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Programming skills in scripting or programming languages like Python, Java, Go.
- Experience with systems like GitHub, GitLab, Perforce, Bitbucket, and Artifactory.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the architecture of source control systems ensuring scalability, performance, security, and reliability.
- Lead the integration of various source control tools with CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and other development tools to streamline development processes.
- Implement and advocate for best practices in security for source code management, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Analyze and enhance the performance of version control operations, reducing latency and improving throughput for developers.
- Oversee migration projects from legacy systems to modern platforms, ensuring minimal disruption and data integrity.
- Mentor and guide development teams in best practices for source control, contribute to code reviews, and foster a culture of code quality and continuous improvement.
