Requirements
- 8 years of experience in software development
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products
- 5 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
- Experience in distributed systems with understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience building automation, orchestration, or workflow management systems
- Familiarity with Google's production environment and infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical goal, architecture, and long-term strategy for key areas within the Move Automation domain
- Handle the most ambiguous and technically challenging problems in service move automation
- Drive the execution of significant technical projects, from design through implementation, deployment, and operation
- Engage in all aspects of software development
- Contribute to and review designs, architectural decisions, and code
- Implement core components and set examples for engineering excellence
- Mentor and coach engineers on the team, helping to level up the team's technical capabilities in system design, coding, and best practices

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to influence others through technical skills with excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Leadership qualities and enthusiasm to take on new problems
