Stack is developing AI and advanced autonomous systems for the trucking transportation industry to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency. The Static World Perception team needs to generate road elements for traffic flow using various onboard data sources to create a cutting-edge online mapping and perception stack.
Requirements
- Experience in resource constrained software engineering design for EdgeAI.
- Experience being an architect/tech lead of major onboard components in robotic systems is highly desirable.
- Experience delivering perception/mapping/localization solutions for real-time robotic applications.
- Prior experience in sensor fusion and/or online mapping is highly desirable.
- Experience in building data and metrics pipelines for ML model development
- Fluency in C++ and Python.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and maintenance of the onboard and offboard software pipelines and components, facilitating a cutting-edge online mapping and perception stack.
- Contribute to the technical direction of the team and broader perception org.
- Write robust software for real-time, resource-constrained, safety-critical applications.
- Drive highly cross-functional features and work streams from problem statement to delivery in the area of mapping and perception.
- Proactively identify limitations with the existing online mapping system and drive improvements.
- Lead challenging technical topics and build consensus.
Other
- Align stakeholders with strong presentation and communication skills.
- Track record of driving projects from start to completion, including conception, problem definition, experimentation, iteration, and finally productization.
- BS (with 6 years of experience), MS (with 5 years of experience) or PhD (with 3 years of experience) in Autonomous Driving, Robotics or AR/VR
- This position may be contingent upon Stack AV verifying a candidate’s residence, U.S. person status, and/or citizenship status.
- This position may also involve working with software and technologies subject to U.S. export control regulations.
