Google's Vertex Agent Platform team is looking to build the industry's leading, enterprise-ready agent platform that can power real-world agentic use cases. This involves developing a high-code agent development SDK/Kit, a managed runtime (Agent Engine) with a suite of managed services, and an agent inner-loop server. The Google Cloud AI Research team aims to address AI challenges motivated by Google Cloud's mission of bringing AI to various industries, pushing the state-of-the-art in AI and collaborating with product teams to bring innovations to real-world impact.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
- 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience building and scaling Machine Learning Infrastructure.
- 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.

- work closely with the Orcas and GDM model quality teams to upstream the enterprise agentic use cases to our foundation model team.
