Actively is building superintelligence for GTM teams by training custom reasoning agents to identify and execute optimal actions to maximize revenue. The company is expanding into owning the full UI layer to enable deeper interaction, visibility, and configurability for customers, and is looking for a Staff Web Engineer to build these foundational systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in web development, with a track record of building and scaling user-facing products in fast-paced environments.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and modern web architectures.
- Experience working with Python backend systems and APIs.
- Prior experience at an early-stage startup or building scalable web products from the ground up.
- Exposure to agentic UI systems, such as chat interfaces, agent inboxes, or task orchestration UIs.
- Passion for LLMs, AI agents, and building interfaces that amplify human + machine collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own high-quality, scalable web applications — from React/TypeScript frontends to coordinating with backend APIs.
- Invent new UI paradigms for AI-human collaboration, including agent inboxes, chat interfaces, feedback loops, and agent debugging tools.
- Design and build efficient, reusable front-end systems that power complex web applications at scale.
- Plan and deploy front-end infrastructure necessary to build, test, and ship high-quality software.
- Own the web systems roadmap, proposing new architecture, driving technical improvements, and increasing dev velocity.
- Work closely with GTM stakeholders to tailor UI experiences for customers, and build tooling that automates and accelerates customer onboarding.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across engineering and customer-facing teams to ship experiences that drive measurable value.
