Squarespace is looking to improve the user experience of its domain and email services, and is seeking a Staff UX Researcher to lead and support research in this area.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of UX Research experience.
  • Deep understanding of UX/Design research methods, knowing when and how to apply different methods and customize them to teams' needs and constraints.
  • Ability to create and lead mixed method research studies and also instruct Non-researchers on research fundamentals and best practices when conducting lightweight research.
  • Experience creating and owning research processes end-to-end and influencing product and teams' direction at a leadership and team level.
  • Ability to provide focus and direction to multiple stakeholders when faced with ambiguity and technological constraints.
  • Basic familiarity with analytics and quantitative research and comfort working alongside quantitative research partners.
  • UX focused with a passion for high quality, sensible design

Responsibilities

  • Guide and oversee multiple research projects simultaneously across Domains, Email & Growth product teams with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Identify opportunities with Product leadership that inspire change within a major area of the business while executing and informing research on a Group and team level.
  • Lead end-to-end, high impact exploratory research while simultaneously teaching and helping cross-functional teams conduct lightweight research on their own.
  • Present to leadership and find compelling ways to illustrate research findings to influence stakeholders and product roadmaps.
  • Advocate for research within the organization and on your teams by guiding stakeholders toward the best areas of study, methodologies, and a shared understanding of our users.
  • Identify patterns in research happening across teams and establish core insights that impact ongoing prioritization.
  • Collaborate with Marketing stakeholders to conduct strategic research—including competitive analysis, quantitative studies for feature prioritization, and qualitative explorations—to inform product positioning, messaging, and roadmap decisions.
