CNN is looking to define the future vision of its new product initiatives and deliver insights to inform conversion, engagement, and retention through user experience research.
Requirements
- Proficient in MS Suite, usability study software, and/or statistical research software.
- Mastery of Figma and prototyping.
- Impeccable visual and interaction design skills.
- Expertise in creating and modifying components and utilizing a mature design system kit.
- Mastery of best UX design practices, including usability principles, user research methodologies and testing techniques.
- Solid understanding of mobile and web technologies.
- Extensive experience in program management tools such as Confluence and Jira.
Responsibilities
- Develop research plans in partnership with Product leads, Product Designers, and other stakeholders, choosing the methods (qualitative, quantitative, mixed) to best inform research needs.
- Conduct research that drives product insights to inform decision making and prioritization of product features/enhancements that increase user engagement, conversion and retention.
- Effectively communicate findings from variety of inputs including analytics, survey results, user behavior, and other data to craft actionable and unbiased recommendations.
- Establish strong and productive relationships with product management and cross-functional teams to understand the needs of the business and use that knowledge to inform research strategy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally around strategic initiatives to align resources and methodology with business needs.
- Self-starter and able to manage projects and deadlines, whilst also being able to pivot as needed.
- Adept at mentoring junior researchers.
Other
- 8+ years' work experience as a UX researcher or research analyst.
- Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver complex messages to diverse audiences.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and natural curiosity.
- Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
