The Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) within the Information Services Division in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, needs to plan and conduct statistical and program management research to support Oklahoma Law Enforcement, Victim Services Providers, and other Key Stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Ability to produce and maintain accurate data
  • Ability to write technical reports using statistical software programs

Responsibilities

  • Prepare documents to disseminate and/or publish including publications, bulletins, newsletters, special reports, crime data briefs, selected findings, and research requests.
  • Assist with creating a research-based agenda based on the needs of Oklahoma Law Enforcement, Victim Services Providers and other Key Stakeholders.
  • Assist in collecting and analyzing tools designed to understand research needs (e.g., surveys) and developing tools to provide better access to anonymized criminal justice data.
  • Answer research requests from lawmakers, researchers, other state officials, and others as requested.
  • Creates and updates presentations and dashboards with accurate data/information for both requestors and public use.
  • Represents OSBI and Oklahoma SAC at local, state, and national conferences and meetings to participate in appropriate projects for the advancement of the analysis of criminal justice data and in order to be aware of the latest developments within the criminal justice data community.
  • Receives, reviews and compiles complex statistical data; compiles and edits data for accuracy and completeness.

  • Some positions may require possession of a valid Oklahoma driver’s license at the time of appointment.
