The Ohio State University is looking to solve the problem of conducting educational research activities involving the training and assessment of medical personnel’s skills using simulation, virtual reality and other educational modalities, with a focus on human decision-making and behavioral assessment.
Requirements
- Experience in research including study design, implementation, data analysis, and manuscript preparation
- Proven record of scholarly output as demonstrated by grants and publications
- Expertise in statistical programs SPSS, SAS, Stata, or R
- Experience in educational research including study design, implementation, data analysis, and manuscript preparation
- Experience in educational technology such as simulation and virtual reality
- Advanced degree desirable
- Experience with machine learning
Responsibilities
- Conduct educational research activities involving the training and assessment of medical personnel’s skills using simulation, virtual reality and other educational modalities
- Perform key aspects of research activities including study design, regulatory submissions, implementation, data collection, data management, and data analysis
- Contribute to development of research projects, grants, abstracts, manuscripts, and other scholarly products
- Apply machine learning
- Assist in writing of grants, reports, and manuscripts
- Attend project meetings and other department meetings as required
- Complete all required project and institutional specific training activities
Other
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience required
- Six years of relevant experience required
- 8-10 years of relevant experience preferred
- Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check
- A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process
- Must be compliant with the ethical and regulatory guideline for human subjects research and data protection
