Lumen is looking to solve real-world network capacity challenges by augmenting and maintaining its national fiber network, addressing issues like rapid capacity consumption by large customers, aging infrastructure, and the integration of multiple legacy inventory systems.
Requirements
- Proficiency and understanding of: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Preferably with an engineering or computer science background and experience with GIS tools.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to real-world network capacity challenges,
- Focus on spatial analysis, GIS platforms (such as Esri ArcPro/ArcMap), and automation of capacity constraint analysis.
- Gain exposure to both the technical and strategic aspects of network planning, including migration efforts and data manipulation.
- Work closely with the team to address current migration and capacity planning projects.

- Intern must be available to work full time (40 hours/week) during the 10-week program
- Program Dates: May 29 – August 7, 2026.
- This position is fully remote / work from home in the continental US.
- US Work Authorization required for this role.
- Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate’s commitment to the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made.
- Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship.
