Westinghouse Electric Co is looking to provide clean energy solutions and is seeking a structural analysis intern to support the design, development, and implementation of technical products and systems.
Requirements
- Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD.
- Previous internship or project experience in mechanical engineering.
- Experience with 3D CAD and analytical tools.
- Familiarity with ASME Section III and Section XI, ANSYS, Inventor, and Matlab.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and analysis of mechanical systems and components.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and calculation notes.
- Support ongoing projects by authoring and verifying non-conformance reports.
- Participate in technical presentations and written communications for customers and management.
- Research new technologies and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to improve processes and design assembly fixtures.
- Contribute to design reviews and present technical designs and analysis results to team members.
Other
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
- Ability to work in the United States (export control regulations compliance).
- Must be able to meet the comparable export control requirements of the country and of the United States.
