RTX is looking for a Structural Certification Engineering Intern to support the team responsible for the research, planning, and execution of the FAA certification process for commercial aircraft seats and seating components. The intern will lead a summer project focused on continuous improvement within the certification team.
Requirements
- Relevant coursework or projects related to structural engineering.
- Familiarity with classical stress analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of strengths of standard aviation materials.
- Experience or coursework in reviewing and approving technical drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering software applications.
Responsibilities
- support the team responsible for the research, planning, and execution of the FAA certification process for commercial aircraft seats and seating components.
- lead a summer project focused on the continuous improvement within the certification team.
- identifying key issues, formulating solutions, and implementing recommendations.
- apply your engineering knowledge and contribute directly to our certification efforts.
- work closely with experienced engineers and gain valuable insights into the aerospace industry's regulatory landscape.

- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
