RS&H is seeking a Structural Bridge Engineering Intern for the Transportation-Infrastructure Practice in their St. Charles, Illinois office to assist with the development of studies, reports, and bridge construction plans.
Requirements
- Working toward obtaining Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- Exposure to AutoCAD and/or Microstation preferred
- Previous internship experience preferred
- AutoCAD and / or Microstation experience
- Experience or exposure to IDOT plans preparation and design standards
- Specific interest in Transportation / Roadway Design
Responsibilities
- compiles data
- utilizes applied software and technology to perform engineering analysis
- assists in the preparation of reports
- completes elementary design calculations
- prepares quantity takeoffs and estimates
- prepares engineering plans utilizing CADD
- observes ongoing and completed construction projects
Other
- Working toward obtaining Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- 0 to 4 years of bridge/structural design experience
- Prior internship or related experience
